JOYCE MAY DICKSON TRENTON - Joyce May Dickson, 91, of Ewing Twp. passed away on April 8, 2009 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton, with her loving family by her side. Born in Leicester, England, on Dec. 5, 1917, Joyce was an area resident since she was five years old. She was a graduate of Trenton Central High School and was retired from the NJ Department of Transportation in Ewing Twp., where she worked as a senior clerk typist for 15 years. Joyce enjoyed playing bingo, and she was a former member of the Club A Senior Citizens in Ewing Twp. She was also a former longtime volunteer at Capitol Health System at Fuld, Trenton, a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ewing Twp VFW, a longtime member at St Luke's Episcopal Church in Ewing Twp., NJ, and a former member of the church choir. Joyce was the widow of Richard Henry Dickson, her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, who died in 2008; the daughter of the late Frederick Ludecke and Clarice Badley Ludecke and sister of the late Philip Ludecke. Left to cherish Joyce's memory are her loving children, one son and daughter-in-law, John F. and Guiselle Dickson of Ewing, and one daughter Linda J. Dickson of Roebling, NJ. Also surviving are two wonderful grandchildren, Stephanie and Stacey Dickson both of West Hills, CA; one niece, Beverley Kesselring of PA; a caring brother-in-law, John Harry Dickson of Trenton, and other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services for Joyce will be held on Saturday morning, April 11, 2009 at 10 a.m. at The Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 S. Broad St., South Trenton NJ (parking facilities located directly behind funeral home). The Rev. Virginia Shea will officiate. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Rd., Ewing Twp. NJ. A viewing hour and a time to share fond memories of Joyce among her family and friends will be held 9-10 a.m. Saturday morning at The Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, South Trenton.
