Supporting St. Luke's

St. Luke's, like all Episcopal churches, is primarily supported through the pledges of its members, which is part of our annual stewardship program.

We also receive support through affiliation programs, one-time gifts, and fundraising efforts.

Listed below are the various ways you can support St. Luke's church.

Stewardship

Stewardship is returning to God a portion of our lives in thanksgiving for God having given us all that we have.

Each person decides for themselves what amount to pledge, based on their thanksgiving for the place of St. Luke's in their lives and their interest in our mission and ministry.  The Episcopal tradition is committed to the biblical standard of the tithe (10%) is the standard of giving, but we also recognize that most people need time to grow into that standard.  

If you would like to make an ongoing commitment to St. Luke's, you may pick up a pledge card from the usher's table or email the church office .  A member of the clergy is always happy to answer any questions you have.

Affiliation Programs

There are several ways you can support St. Luke's through the ordinary ways you make purchases.  

Grocery Gift Cards
We offer gift card to local grocery stores, such as Shop-Rite, Pennington Quality Market, and Marazzo's. If you buy your groceries after purchasing these cards from us, St. Luke's receives 5% of the proceeds. It doesn't cost you any extra, and it really adds up for us!  Gift cards are sold after services on Sunday mornings and can be delivered by arrangement through the parish office if you are not able to get to church.  You may email us with any questions.

GoodSearch Internet Search
GoodSearch.com is an internet search engine powered by Yahoo.  Each time you surf the web using GoodSearch.com, St. Luke's earns a penny or two for each returned search you click through to.  Believe it or not, those clicks make a difference!  To try this out, visit Goodsearch.com and register St. Luke's , Trenton as your charity, then search away! 

GoodShop Internet Shopping
Did you know that your regular internet shopping could earn St. Luke's a percentage of your purchases?  GoodShop.com, a companion to GoodSearch.com, is a portal to hundred of internet merchants, including Amazon, Apple, iTunes, Target, Wal-mart, and scores of others.  If you shop these merchants through the GoodShop portal, each merchant will contribute a specified of your purchase to St. Luke's.  Just use GoodShop.com to initiate your shopping session, make sure St. Luke's, Trenton is your registered charity, and shop away!
